REC 01 PRINCIPLES OF REAL ESTATE (30 Hours) This course is designed to train individuals to pass the Guam Real Estate Examination for Real Estate Agents or Real Estate Brokers. REAL ESTATE CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES: Public Law 25-27 mandates that prior to renewal of an original Real Estate broker's license, the broker must satisfactorily furnish evidence of successful completion of an additional ninety (90) classroom hours of study selected among the following courses. Each of the following courses require 30 classroom hours except those indicated:
CFA 01 CFA PREPARATION COURSE The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program is a globally recognized standard for measuring the competence and integrity of financial analysts. Three levels of examination measure a candidate's ability to apply fundamental knowledge of investment principles at a professional level. The CFA exam is administered annually by the Association of Investment Management and Research (AIMR) in more than 70 nations worldwide. This course will prepare the students to master the exam contents and eventually pass the exams. CPA 01 CPA PREPARATION COURSE This is a refresher course for those individuals who desire to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination. Under the CPA Licensing provision of Law, individuals who desire to take the CPA examination on Guam can do so and be licensed in any of the 50 States of the United States including Guam. SER 01 SERIES 6 AND 7 SECURITIES LICENSING EXAMINATION This course prepares future securities sales persons to pass the Series 6 and 7 examinations --- a requirement to sell financial securities. The course covers basic business fundamentals; finance and accounting theory, investment theory, government rules and regulations, and test taking preparation and strategy. This is a 45-hour course, involving lecture and problem-solving sessions. INSURANCE LICENSING This course is designed for students to learn the basic knowledge regarding the insurance industry to prepare them for the Insurance Agent or Insurance Broker Examination. HUMAN RESOURCE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM This course is designed to provide students knowledge on all aspects regarding the intricacies of human resources management. In consonant with the program, students completing the requirement will receive a certificate from teh Society For Human Resources, which is recognized nationally and internationally. COOPERATIVE PROGRAMS This Westpac International Business College in cooperation with other professional institutions and institutions of higher learning provides a variety of lifelong learning programs for adults and professionals.
